Classes are structured, and teach nonviolent Self-Defense and Karate techniques while emphasizing the habits of quality learning, Focus, Self-Discipline, and Respect for parents and teachers.

    Students should have their own guitar to practice on at home but we have plenty at school for them to use in class. Students will learn strumming, picking, finger technique, time, how to listen to music and SONGS they can play at home.
     
  • Bigger, Faster, Stronger (5th-7th)

BFS (Bigger, Faster, Stronger) is an extracurricular club geared towards developing the speed, stamina, flexibility, and strength of athletes for all sports. Each session will include a warm-up and cool down period to help increase flexibility. Training exercises will include: - Speed Ladder Drills - Jump Rope Exercises - Hand/Eye Coordination Drills - Foot/Eye Coordination Drills - Core and Other Muscular Development Drills

In the intermediate Chess Club Session, we will go more in depth with tactics, combinations, openings, endgame play, and positional thinking. As basic players progress through the year, they may be permitted to move into intermediate class upon demonstration of key concepts and skills.   • Halloween Mask Making Workshop (1st-7th)

In this art workshop, you will design and create your own sculpted papier-mâché mask that you can wear for Halloween. Through demonstration and hands-on learning we will create a mask with materials that may include a mold, plasticine clay, papier-mâché, recycled materials, acrylic paints, and other decorations of choice.

ThinkerKids! is a ground-breaking program that combines creativity and science in a fun mobile laboratory setting, creating an exciting, interactive learning experience that awakens a child's thirst for knowledge.Offers twelve, one-hour sessions weekly during the semester. The Stuart Hall Futbol Club will meet on Fridays in the first trimester. This club will focus on developing a player’s foundation in soccer. The emphasis will be on foot skills and player’s touch on the ball. Each training session will be 60 min. The first half of the session will focus on drills to develop a player’s soccer foundation.
