At the First Friday service of each month, the student body, First through the Seventh Grades, assembles in the Chapel for a special service. Complete formal dress uniform is required of all students. The service commences at 8:15 a.m. and usually lasts about 45 minutes. The Honor Guard, selected by the faculty and approved by the administration, consists of those children who have best exhibited or who have grown the most in that particular quality of the month. At the First Friday service, a reflection on a theme relevant to the chosen quality is given. The children sing songs during the service and close with the school song. Parents of children in the Honor Guard are informed in advance of the service. All parents are invited to the First Friday service and to join their sons in the Finegan Dining Room after the service for refreshments.
