Support Stuart Hall
Annual Giving Drive

This annual campaign’s success is dependent upon the generosity of parents, alumni, faculty and staff, board members, grandparents, parents of alumni, and friends. High participation in Annual Giving is a clear indicator of the school’s success. We know our parents are all in!

Annual Giving addresses the school’s most vital needs, and the money is spent within the same school year. Annual Giving allows the entire Stuart Hall community to directly invest in the formation and education of our boys while keeping tuition at an affordable rate. Your gift supports the people and programs that make an independent school special: small classes, talented teachers, up-to-date technology, exceptional offerings and resources.

Gifts to the Annual Giving Drive are tax-deductible.
The Annual Giving Drive closes the “GAP” between tuition and the actual cost of educating our boys.

    FAQs
Why is charitable support to Stuart Hall important?
Like all nonprofits, Stuart Hall relies on a combination of revenue and philanthropy to supply our budget. Each year, it becomes increasingly important for Stuart Hall to fund a portion of the budget from philanthropy; thereby, decreasing our reliance on tuition revenue.

    How much should I contribute?
You determine the size and designation of your gift according to your own charitable priorities and capacity. Gifts of all sizes are both appreciated and count toward our participation rate. High participation among faculty, staff, and administrators stands as an endorsement of the school.

    Mission and Giving Philosophy
Since 1984, Stuart Hall School for Boys was founded based on the life and teachings of Catholic educator, Janet Erskine Stuart, RSCJ. Mother Stuart wrote of a philosophy of faith, scholarship, leadership, and honor; that “education is formation, not just information”. Today, this very mission lives in the hearts of our boys because of the generosity of those that came before.

As member of the Stuart Hall community, we hold the responsibility to "bridge the gap between donor passions and school priorities. " (Elizabeth Kolb Farr, VP Grenzebach, Giler and Associates). Through our lead we help create a momentum that the school can leverage with other potential donors sharing our mission or educating good boys into great men.

Matching Gift and Volunteer Grant information provided by
    Powered by Double the Donation
You can maximize your charitable contribution to the Stuart Hall School for Boys through matching gifts, a special benefit many companies offer. Through matching gift programs, many companies allow employees and retirees (and their spouses) the opportunity to multiply the impact of their personal contributions. If your company sponsors a matching gift program, you can easily increase the impact your gift will have on students, faculty, and programs at Stuart Hall. Most participating companies will match employee gifts dollar for dollar. Some will even double—or triple—match a gift.

Even if your company does not have a matching gifts program, you should inquire about volunteer grants. Some companies encourage their employees to do volunteer work at nonprofits. Some of these companies allow their employees to log these hours into a volunteer grant application that can award anywhere from $500-1,000. This is a great way to pay it forward while doing the volunteer work you love at Stuart Hall.

Annual Giving Drive Leadership Giving

We want to personally thank our donors that support Stuart Hall at our Leadership Levels of Giving. The traditions of Stuart Hall can continue well into the future because of their loyal support.

The Knights of the Round Table Donors

Each May, Stuart Hall recognizes its most dedicated supporters—our Knights of the Round Table and Founders donors—at the Head of School’s Dinner held at Ralph’s on the Park. This special evening celebrates the generosity and leadership of those whose annual gifts provide a strong foundation for the school’s continued success. More than a dinner, the event offers donors an opportunity to gather with fellow supporters, hear directly from school leadership about the impact of their philanthropy, and gain insight into the vision and priorities shaping Stuart Hall’s future. Through their leadership-level giving, these donors help ensure that generations of Knights continue to benefit from the exceptional academic, spiritual, and character-forming aspects that define the Stuart Hall experience.

Blue & Gray Society Donors

Blue & Gray Society donors, whose generosity helps bridge the Gap by contributing $1,950 per student, are invited to a special appreciation celebration each January at Felipe’s on Metairie Road. This gathering recognizes the vital role these donors play in supporting the full Stuart Hall experience by helping fund the difference between tuition revenue and the true cost of educating each student. The event offers an opportunity to connect with fellow members of the Stuart Hall community, celebrate the impact of philanthropic support, and learn more about how gifts to the Annual Giving Drive strengthen academics, enrich student programs, and sustain the school’s mission. Through their commitment, Blue & Gray Society donors who give GAP per student help ensure that every Knight benefits from the exceptional opportunities that define a Stuart Hall education.
