At Stuart Hall School for Boys, athletics is an integral part of the formation of our young men. Through participation in sports, our students learn lessons that extend far beyond the playing field—developing character, discipline, perseverance, and leadership while building lasting friendships with their teammates.
Stuart Hall Athletics provides opportunities for boys to compete, grow, and proudly represent their school throughout the city. Whether in practice or competition, our student-athletes learn the value of teamwork, sportsmanship, and commitment while embracing the responsibility and privilege of wearing the Stuart Hall name.

Sportsmanship
Stuart Hall promotes sportsmanship by encouraging students to embody respect, fairness, and kindness during all physical activities. Through teachings that emphasize the dignity of every person and the importance of community, students learn to support their teammates, honor their opponents, and handle both victories and setbacks with humility and grace. This approach helps foster a positive and inclusive environment where character development is just as important as athletic skill. These principles transcend students in PK3 through 7th grade.
Participation
Stuart Hall emphasizes participation as one of the principal benefits to playing a sport. The following objectives are emphasized when participating in a sport at Stuart Hall:
Learn the skills of the sport
Work as a team member
Represent your school
Give your best effort
Stuart Hall has a "no-cut" policy, but there are participation requirements that affect playing time and team membership. Extra-curricular sports are offered to the Lower School students on a less structured basis.
