In this class, students will:
Learn the structure of joke writing
Tap into creativity for personal source material
Discover comedic voice i.e. what natural style works best for you
Improve public speaking skills
Sharpen acting and storytelling skills through individual standup and ensemble setting in improv/sketch comedy James Cusimano has been performing standup comedy locally and nationally since 2006 and acting professionally since 2008. He has performed standup at venues including Harrah’s Casino, Orpheum Theater’s Ice Pit, and House of Blues New Orleans. James has also been in local/national commercials, TV shows, and films.
Dates: December 4- February 5 3:30-4:30pm
Grades: 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th
